&lt;p style="margin: 0px 0px 11px; line-height: 200%;"&gt;&lt;span style="font-size:12pt; line-height:200%; margin:0px"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Calibri"&gt;Asymmetrical assembly of metal-semiconductor nanostructure has its significance in understanding the basic physics and developing nano-electronics with anisotropic response. Here we present a method to synthesize an asymmetrically assembled Au-quantum dot (QD) structure to study its anisotropic optical response.&lt;/font&gt;&lt;span style="margin:0px"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Calibri"&gt;  &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Calibri"&gt;Janus Au-SiO&lt;/font&gt;<sub>&lt;font color="#000000" face="Calibri"&gt;2&lt;/font&gt;</sub>&lt;font color="#000000" face="Calibri"&gt; dimer structure is adopted here as the starting material, in which the spherical Au nanoparticle is half masked by the spherical silica particle. The silica is further etched to load the QDs. The Au particle here serves as the passive element whereas silica sphere loaded with QDs serves as the active element. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span lang="EN" style="font-size:12pt; line-height:200%; margin:0px"&gt;&lt;font color="#000000" face="Calibri"&gt;The angular scattering property of the particle will be studied at different pumping energy at single particle level. The scattering spectra exhibited angle and pumping energy dependent behavior. &lt;/font&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
