The Department of Chemistry at WIU partners with the Department of Physics at WIU to produce multiple demonstrations involving chemistry and physics. Each year the two departments work at choosing a topic that would appeal and attract the most diverse and large audience from the surrounding community. The departments then organize scientific experiments centered around the show's theme. This approach not only attracts those interested in science, but also those who may not be as interested in science, but are attracted by the topic of the show. A poster highlighting the most recent failures and successes of the themed demonstration shows will be discussed.
