In this research, We have developed and studied supported bis(arylimino)acenaphthene N-heterocyclic carbene (BIAN-NHC) analogs of the second generation Hoveyda–Grubbs catalyst. This complex can be efficiently used both for RCM and ROMP. And, thus, at very low catalyst loading of (1 mol%), we could obtain desired products with interesting results. Moreover, the Ru-complex was found to be active and demonstrated no significant loss of catalytic activity after repeated use in RCM. The products were efficiently and easily purified form the Ru-residues, indicating low levels of ruthenium leaching into the final product, in comparison to the commercially available Ru-complex.<br/>Herein, we report of catalytic systems that can easily be self-separating the polymeric product off the final reaction mixture. Therefore, the procedure we developed here, would be an excellent approach to make the overall process greener.
