Creating a hands-on outreach activity for general audiences enabled graduate students, undergraduates, postdocs, researchers, project scientists and staff to collaborate on design and fabrication from concept to model to finished project. A team-based approach facilitated project management concepts, teambuilding skills, leadership skills, and science communication in order to unite on a common goal and produce an interactive display.
