The ACS Climate Science Toolkit became available online four years ago. What’s next has to start from the basic understanding of climate science in the Toolkit to understanding the climate disruption that has created a new world—a warming world of melting ice, rising and acidifying seas, more extreme weather events, and changes in biota, among other disruptions. Adapting to the new world and mitigating the continuing disruption as much as possible are the tasks humans, individually and collectively, now face. A few suggestions, none of them particularly novel or original, will be presented to start discussion.
