Although questions of inventorship and authorship can often be simple, complexities can arise leading to problems that can be embarrassing, at best, or destructive to your intellectual property rights, at worst. This presentation will begin by discussing the appropriate standards for determining inventorship and authorship, including similarities and differences of each, and problems that can arise in assessing whether an individual’s contribution rises to the level of an inventor or author. The presentation will also briefly address typical NDA obligations and steps that can be taken to ensure compliance with NDA obligations.
