The synthesis of neurologically active small molecules could enable the study of normal cognitive processes and treatment of neurological dysfunction.  This talk will describe investigations on the development of palladium-catalyzed dehydrogenation reactions of carbonyl compounds that may empower the synthesis of neurologically active natural products.
