In this talk I will present a series of studies that will try to establish analytical ultracentrifugation as a tool for the chanracterization of the interaction of monodisperse nanoparticles sample with specific proteins. The precise characterization of the protein-nanoparticle interactions will be completement by novel approaches to the characterization of the nanoparticles ligand shell.
