The MnxCe1-xO2 nanocomposite with different manganese percentage (MCOs) was firstly fabricated via a bath precipitation method combined with a purification process by nitrogen and a high temperature oxidation process. The nanoparticle composite presents fluorite structure and its surface area reaches 161.9 m2 g-1. As the electrodes materials of supercapacitors, the Mn7Ce3O2 nanocomposite showed a high specific capacitance of 163 F g-1 at 1 A g-1 in 6M KOH electrolyte, an excellent cycle stability with the capacitance retention after 3000 cycles and the reasonable internal impedance (0.375 Ω for Rs and 0.451 Ω for Rct, respectively). The results demonstrate the great potential of MCOs in supercapacitor applications.
