Intramolecular chirality transfer [2+2] cycloaddition of electron deficient allenes and alkenes is presented. Two variants are disclosed, one in which allenic esters are used and the other involves allenic phosphonates. In both cases high levels of chirality transfer are observed. The mechanistic details of these reactions are also discussed.
