A method has been developed for the separation and quantification of selenium (IV) and selenium (VI) in waste water system at ppb level using IC-ICPMS (Ion chromatography (IC) coupled to an ICPMS (Inductively coupled Plasma mass Spectormety  system has been used to carry out speciation of selenium Se(IV) and Se (VI). Samples are run with minimal sample preparation and does not require digestion. The selenium species Se (IV) and Se (VI)  can be detected at &lt; 0.1 ppb and quantitated at &lt; 1 ppb.  The linearity range for the method is from 1 ppb to 1000 ppb. Higher or lower concentrations can be determined by pipetting  appropriate-volume of samples, dilution and/or modifying the instrument operating parameters.<br/> <br/>In this presentation we will review some recent developments made for the determination of selenium (IV) and selenium (VI) in waste water system at ppb level by IC-ICPMS<br/>
