Through application of inorganic click (iClick) chemistry, a series of novel aurolated porphyin-based tetrazolates have been prepared and characterized. Photophysical properties have been evaluated for different metallated porphyin centers, and the role of phosphine groups on gold cations probed through variation of such ligands.
