A course Science was developed and taught to explore and analyze the relationship between science and pop culture through the lens of fiction and popular media. Writing style, historical significance and the popularity of various genres, including novels, and short stories was  be examined. Science contained in the readings was investigated, keeping in mind the unique history, people, objects, social contructs and experience shaping them. Fulfills interdisciplinary and liberal arts electives<b>. </b>The primary objectives of the course were four-fold:  to teach science  by analyzing seven popular novels that treat scientific topics; to develop an appreciation of  the historical genre relating to the historical nature of science in the novels; to enhance writing skills within the popular media(s) of expression; and to enhance scientific searching skills for  data analysis and scientific writing skills. The results of teaching the course at three different types of institutions, Ph.D. granting, B.S./M.S. granting, and community college, will be shared.
