<br/>Supramolecular chemistry has evolved into a powerful strategy for the creation of new materials. Metal-ligand bonds exhibit both strong and directional interactions in which the selection of metal ion and ligand can guide the strength of the association. To this end, we have established a program to incorporate metal binding ligands into polymers and copolymers to create new materials with tunable properties. A focus on networks will be discussed along with their conductivity as a function of metal ion.
