Trocheliophorolide A is a natural product isolated from soft coral. It is an interesting synthetic target because it has biological activity against <i>Staphylococcus aureus</i> and <i>Baciliius subtillis</i>. We envision the synthesis of trocheliophorolide A as a convergent synthesis. The synthetic route toward the novel vinyl borate will be highlighted as it pertains to the convergent Suzuki coupling toward the final product. Progress toward the challenging unsaturated sidechain moiety will also be discussed.
