Nobel laureate and citizen-scientist F. Sherwood Rowland asked: “Isn't it a responsibility of scientists, if you believe that you have found something that can affect the environment, isn't it your responsibility to do something about it, enough so that action actually takes place? If not us, who? If not now, when?” The evidence is clear that human activities have disrupted the climate and created a new world—a warming world of melting ice, rising and acidifying seas, more extreme weather events, and changes in biota, among other disruptions. Adapting to the new world and mitigating the continuing disruption as much as possible are the tasks humans, individually and collectively, now face. A few suggestions, none of them particularly novel or original, for us to do something about it will be presented to start discussion.<br/>
