Transient protein-protein interactions are short-lived interactions occurring within metabolic and signaling pathways. Upregulation of signaling and metabolic pathways are associated with diseases like cancer. Understanding the dynamics of transient interactions will provide a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of cancer cells. Imaging techniques with the necessary spatiotemporal resolution to see these dynamic interactions often sacrifice whole-cell imaging by focusing only on dynamics at a single location. We have home-built a lattice light-sheet microscope which offers high spatiotemporal imaging of whole cells. Using human Hs578T breast carcinoma cells transfected with fluorescent proteins, we present dynamic regulations in signaling and metabolic pathways.
