Amine containing compounds have been important in pharmaceutical and organic chemistry due to their functional group properties. Allylated amines serve as building block for other pharmaceutical drugs. Allylboronic acid and esters are rarely used in cross-coupling reaction because of their high reactivity and fast decomposition. On the other hand, potassium allyltrifluoroborate is an air- and water soluble stable solid compound. It’s use in C-allylation and carbonylation reactions are recently reported. Amination by cross-coupling of potassium allyltrifluoroborate and amines is yet to be explored. In this work, we have examined N-allylation reaction by introducing allylBF3K and found interesting developments. These results will be presented.
