The 5000mg/L Fe<sup>2+</sup> solution for synthetic Fe oxide were made using salt of iron sulfate (FeSO4 H2O) and 0.1M HCl solution. Iron oxides are prepared from iron sulfate solution with change of pH and reacting duration time. The iron oxides that synthesized at pH 4.0, 6.0, 8.0, 10.0, 12.0 and 14.0 were used heavy metal adsorption experiments. Samples that collected after reaction in pH 4.0 for 1 and 24hours composed of pour goethite. The samples that collected from pH 6.0 for 1 and 24hours reaction time composed mainly of goethite with small amounts of lepidocrocite. Crystallinity of goethite high 24hours than 1hour reaction in pH 4.0 and 6.0. The samples that collected from pH 8.0 for 1 and 24hours reaction time composed of magnetite and lepidocrocite with very small amounts of goethite. The samples that collected from pH 12.0 for 1 and 24hours reaction time composed mainly of magnetite with very small amounts of lepidocrocite. The samples that collected from pH 14.0 for 1 and 24hours reaction time composed of pure magnetite. Crystallinity of goethite and mineral composition varied as change with the synthetic pH. As the synthetic pH increases, crystallinity does the similarity and mineral composition change with goethite, lepidocrocite and magnetite. The result about adsorption experiments of synthetic iron oxide/hydroxide for heavy metal solutions, arsenic was removed first in most of the samples regardless of the concentration of the early heavy metal solution. More than 90% of arsenic was removed from samples collected after making them react in pH 6.0 after an hour. If the initial concentration of heavy metal solution is 40ppm, lead was removed from samples collected after making them react in pH 6.0 for 24 hours and in pH 8.0 for an hour, about 82% and 66%, respectively. The adsorption ratio of other heavy metals such as Cd, Cu and Hg was very low.
