This session will address the legal standards for patent claims and the specification particularly for chemical and similar technologies in the United States.  For example, the session will discuss the enablement, written description, and definiteness requirements. This will include discussion of recent cases interpreting and applying these standards. The session will also address issues raised by amendments including the above-referenced standards as well as new matter concerns.
