Dow launched the Dow Lab Safety Academy in 2013 as a means to share industry safety practices freely and openly. The web-based learning environment (http://safety.dow.com) shares Dow’s best-in-class industrial lab safety culture and practices in a quick, accessible format. The award-winning platform is one part of safety outreach at Dow Chemical. The Dow Lab Safety Academy has over 40,000 enrolled viewers and over 250,000 views. Over 60 universities, more than 40 government agencies and over 100 companies use the site. The Lab Safety Academy is enhancing awareness of best safety practices, increasing safety in academic research laboratories and creating expectations for the future chemical enterprise workforce.
