The aim of this work was to analyze the influence of different additivies on the catalytic and physicochemical properties of γ-MnO2 extrudates employed for styrene combustion. Additives used were: Zeolite Y, boehmite, boron nitride, titanium dioxide, zirconium dioxide, zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, among others. Besides, three different kinds of clays were employed as plasticizers. The additives and clays not only changed the mechanical properties of the prepared extrudates but also led to modifications of the catalytic performance. The presentation will illustrate and discuss such modifications.
