Supercritical Fluid Chromatography (SFC) is an environmentally friendly, scaleable, and robust technology for production-scale purification of cannabinoids from hemp and drug-strain cannabis. We routinely utilize SFC to create pure or highly enriched fractions of individual cannabinoids from bulk cannabis oil, which is a complex mixture with dozens of constituents. SFC is an excellent tool for separation while adhering to the restrictive list of solvents approved for use in cannabis processing in the state of Colorado, and promises to be a core technology as cannabis and cannabinoid production ramps up in legal states in the USA and in legal countries worldwide. Purified cannabinoids are used to formulate a portfolio of new products, and to further our pharmacological research at both the cellular and human consumer levels.
