The scalable production of enantiopure chiral amines continues to be a significant challenge for the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industry.  This is important since many active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) contain the chiral amine functional group.  Over the last few years promiscuous Amine Dehydrogenase (AmDH) enzymes have been developed that are capable of an asymmetric reductive amination converting prochiral ketones into chiral amines.  This poster describes the investigation of new potential substrates as well as how these enzymes perform under different conditions.
