This year like many years before the student chapter at Penn State University, Nittany Chemical Society (NCS) has been trying to increase involvement within the Penn State community and within the chapter. NCS has partnered up with other STEM organizations on campus to increase interactions between organizations. We are hoping to increase ACS chapter communication by creating events that bring together other ACS chapters. We are trying to get the Penn State community more involved in chemistry by celebrating mole day and chemistry week with the rest of the Penn State community. Because our undergraduate students are looking for opportunities to broaden their horizon we work on creating networking events for students to meet their professors outside of the classroom as well.
