The University of Michigan-Flint Chemistry Club has been very involved in the Flint area and surrounding communities. As a club, we always try to find ways to collaborate with different people, as it allows us to be more creative and productive as an organization. We have been fortunate to have the help of volunteers, who come with a varying degree of scientific knowledge and experience working with students. We have partnered with schools with both vast and limited resources, providing a diverse population of students the opportunity to expand their knowledge of science and how science impacts the world we live in, and we would like to inform other people on the ways we have found to best interact with and connect with students who are underrepresented in the field of science.
