Community College students often have varied prior experiences in chemistry.  To address this range of experience Flathead Valley Community College offers a variety of entry points in chemistry for students.  A chemistry placement exam using the ALEKS software was implemented beginning with summer 2017 courses.  Upon completion of the proctored placement exam students received a score indicating placement into Explorations in Chemistry, Introduction to General Chemistry, or College Chemistry I.  Students with a low placement score had the option to work their way up to a higher level course through an individualized pathway in the ALEKS software.  Implementation, rewards and challenges, and results of the placement process will be presented.<br/>
