The centrality of writing and the increasing role of computing in the chemical sciences are undeniable. Indeed, much effort has been spent in the field considering modifications to the conventional chemical sciences curriculum to enhance undergraduate chemistry training in writing and computing. Recently, we began a pilot development and assessment study of two integrated curricular advancements in the UC Merced honors general chemistry sequence. First, computational modeling and simulation exercises have been developed and incorporated into weekly course discussion sections. Second, a learning community with co-requisite chemistry and writing sections has been implemented to coordinate pedagogy, encourage community, and ultimately enhance learning outcomes. This presentation will describe our developments, report current outcomes, and discuss planned future work.<br/>
