Fossil derived solvents often constitute the bulk of a reaction or formulation and as a result are the focus of many sustainability programs. We present our latest greener solvents, including Cyrene™- a sustainable, bio-based alternative to DMF and NMP that can be employed in common chemical reactions, including cross-couplings and amide bond formation. The improved safety profile of Cyrene™ means that it is not subject to the increasing regulatory restrictions that are imposed on the conventional solvent equivalents.
