The use of technology as a pedagogical tool has continued to gain traction throughout the past decade. Flipped classrooms, real-time student polling, and interactive textbooks are but a few of the many approaches through which educators have sought to more effectively engage their student populations. At the University of Mount Union, we have specifically examined how video-based approaches can be utilized throughout the sophomore organic chemistry curriculum. These approaches, which have been well received by students, include the following: a) hybrid teaching through the use pre-lecture videos; b) video keys for quizzes and exams; and c) a chemical education laboratory unit. This poster will highlight the rationale for our use of these video-based elements, the strategies utilized to incorporate them, methods for ensuring student engagement with them, and lastly, plans for assessing their impact on student learning outcomes.<br/>
