The ACS Student Chapter of Stark State College strives to raise interest in the sciences, while also offering peer encouragement by guiding its members toward academic and career opportunities. In order to meet these endeavors, the club has made many efforts toward maintaining a successful ACS student chapter. Our club actively pursues initiatives that stress the importance of STEM education to students of all ages. Ideas will be presented to help others make the most out of STEM outreach activities. Another crucial component to a successful student chapter is active student involvement. Volunteers are always needed to assist in running certain club activities. Because recruiting a sufficient amount of volunteers can be a challenge, creative methods will be shared about how to encourage student participation. Lastly, one of the most crucial elements of running a successful ACS student chapter is sufficient fundraising. Effective fundraising techniques will be presented. These components are the foundation to a successfully led student organization. A club with a solid foundation will have the tools to flourish and, in turn, will impact their school and community in a positive way.<br/><br/><br/>
