Unnatural amino acids represent a synthetically valuable moiety with applications in a broad range of bioactive compounds, including small molecule and peptide based drugs, as well as antibody drug conjugates. Metallaphotoredox catalysis enables the facile synthesis of a broad range of these comounds from inexexpensive, readily available starting materials in high enantiometic purity.
