This work involves the preparation of transparent, flexible electrodes using recyclable plastics.  The need for cheaper and more robust transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs) is the motivation behind this research.  Existing TCEs are fabricated using glass-based materials such as indium tin oxide (ITO); ITO is fragile and expensive to manufacture.  Flexible electrodes offer considerable advantages over glass-based electrodes.  Flexible electrodes are light-weight, low-cost, possess mechanical flexibility, and have excellent compatibility with molecule-based electronic components.  Preparation of flexible electrodes presented in this work involves printing a molecular template, using soft lithographic techniques, on the surface of polyethylene and polypropylene substrates.  The molecular template is subsequently metallized by reducing metal cations attached to the template via electrostatic interactions.<br/>
