There is briefly summarized a series of our theoretical and/or computational studies on dilute solution properties of semiflexible ring polymers on the basis of the Kratky–Porod wormlike ring model. The behavior of the mean-square radius of gyration, scattering function, intrinsic viscosity, and second virial coefficient is examined as a function of the reduced contour length λL, where λ–1 and L are the stiffness parameter (twice of the persistence length) and total contour length of the wormlike ring, respectively. A comparison between literature experimental data and our results is also reported.
