Laboratory liquid waste which has been discharged directly into the environment without proper liquid waste treatment has become an indication of less awareness in sustainably protecting the environment. Although it is not as much as industrial wastewater disposal in quantity, in fact, the materials content of the sewage is varied and highly toxic in quality. Many methods of wastewater treatment had been introduced to minimize the negative effects it may cause. Electrocoagulation is an alternative method by utilizing anode dissolution while a direct current is applied to both electrodes in producing active coagulants to precipitate the metal ions. It has been reported to reduce 98,22% Cr total ions in simulation wastewater (120 minutes; current density 2,5 A/m2). This high efficiency still needs additional treatment to completely minimize remained toxic ions in the sample. Chelation has been known to complex 52,06% lead ions using Averrhoa bilimbi Linn extract for 60 minutes
