Thermolysin, a metalloprotease that facilitates the hydrolysis of peptide bonds, is produced by <i>Bacillus thermoproteolyticcus</i>, a thermophilic bacterium. Herein, we seek to synthesize a derivative of its natural inhibitor, phosphoramidon, for use as a thermolysin chemical probe.
