We demonstrate a hierarchical process involving supramolecular assembly of nucleobase-containing bottlebrush polymers driven by H-bonding interactions which affords one-dimensionally assembled, dynamic cylindrical nanostructures. Due to the strong interactions between adenine and thymine nucleobases, large assemblies arise selectively when bottlebrush polymers functionalized with adenine residues are mixed with a separate population containing thymine. The supramolecular assemblies are ultimately comprised of alternating A and T bottlebrush units due to the specificity of the nucleobase interactions.
