The comprehensive utilization of CO2 that the CO2 used for the synthesization of dimethyl carbonate was considered to be the challenging and target for people in the world.Dimethyl carbonate as one of the fastest growing green chemicals in the 20th century has received the widespread attention.As a kind of clean and safety of green solvent and new additive gasoline octane,it could be used as a non-toxic carbonylation reagent and methylation reagent.Compared to traditional synthesis route,the main synthetic route of dimethyl carbonate is moving toward simplification, no poison and pollution. However, the shortage problem of equipment complex, low methanol conversion in processing of preparation of dimethyl carbonate were serious.A new process synthesis of dimethyl carbonate in the electrolysis activated liquid prepared by a kind of homemade solution was: Firstly,the white rubber plugwith four holes was inserted into above 500 ml electrolytic cell.Secondly,the two electrodes made of copper, magnesium ,inert gas conduit and CO2 feed tube were fixed respectively in the electrolytic pool (magnesium anode, copper cathode), piped in with nitrogen gas.Thirdly,CO2 gas was slow injected into carbon sequestration solution in 5 min for electrolytic reaction, with opening the electrolytic power supply, controlling voltage of 1.9 V, current 0.19Aand then the voltage and current was respectively adjusted to 2.7V and 0.30A in 26 mins.The lastly ,the electrochemical activation reaction liquid (liquid electrolytic activation)was transferred to the stand-up in a bottlerefluxing with methanol and methyl iodide at 60°Cin 120 mins.After the refluxing, the product was cooled to room temperature, repeatedly washed with distilled water to non-halogen ions and anhydrous dried.The conversion rate and the purity of dimethyl carbonaterespectively are 99.8% and 99.0%.
