Zeolite materials, as Crystalline solids with well-ordered pores and channels running throughout have already shown themselves to be valuable catalysts for decades now, in the transformation of mostly, though not exclusively, hydrocarbon molecules. They have played a major role in the production of fuels, lubricants and petrochemicals to name the largest industrial uses. But newer applications emerge and a variety of factors contribute to the successful scale-up of a new zeolite catalyst where the goal is to see improvements in selectivity, activity and lifetime. In this presentation we will survey what some of the opportunities are and then outline the hurdles to be met as we would proceed towards commercial development and a greater commitment of capital to get there. I will also discuss some newer approaches, which have been demonstrated to control some features of zeolite product formation, in line with some understandings we have about zeolite crystal growth.<br/>
