In contrast to the organometallic chemistry of metallocenophane complexes of the main group elements and transition metals, there is only little known about f-block metallocenophane complexes. In this talk we will present how metallocenophanes can be employed in the synthesis of lanthanide complexes with unique structural and functional features. The unusual geometry of the complexes renders them very interesting candidates for single-molecule magnet applications and their dynamic magnetic properties will be discussed.<br/>
