Our pursuit of high-spin clusters has led to the discovery of giant spin cluster formation where clusters exhibit well isolated ground states exceding room temperature. Modification of ligand architectures allows for anodic/cathodic redox shifting of the resultant clusters, enabling the formation of high-spin charge transfer salts. Our efforts using advanced X-ray absorption techniques to discern redox delocalization and origins of electronic anisotropy will be discussed.
