An ideal supercapacitor electrode requires abundant micropores for efficient charge accumulation and meso/macropores for fast electrolyte-ions transport. However, it is still a great challenge to meet both requirements. In this presentation, the direct conversion of CO<sub>2</sub> will be demonstrated to synthesize a novel material, three-dimensional surface-microporous graphene. In the material, meso/macro channels are formed by graphene walls and rich micropores are incorporated in the surface layer of the graphene walls. Furthermore, it exhibited excellent electric double-layer performance for supercapacitors due to its fast electrolyte ion transport in the meso/macro channels and the rapid and reversible charge adsorption with negligible transport distance in the surface micropores.
