<b>T</b>he Aquinas Chemistry Society is focused on inspiring fellow students and community members to appreciate the features of chemistry. Through different activities such as demonstrations at Chemistry at the Mall, outreach to local Catholic fourth grade students during St. Albert’s Day and on-campus fun activities during National Chemistry Week and Earth Day, the club is able to spread the love for science to the Grand Rapids and Aquinas College communities. One important goal of the club is to welcome all students regardless of their majors. This is achieved by inviting everyone to all of our business meetings and hosting activities during Homecoming and other campus celebrations. With events such as the Exam Cram study session before final exams and weekly chemistry tutoring, the club is also recognized for offering opportunities for fellow students to increase their academic performance. Other annual events arranged by the club, such as the Poje Banquet and kickball, allow students and professors to form a closer bond as they share their experiences outside of class. Coordinating the many activities of the chapter helps the officers develop leadership skills such as fundraising, communication, persistence, and organization. Lastly, the Aquinas Chemistry Society has attended the last six spring National Meetings and has earned national recognition for thirteen consecutive years. All of these experiences together are not enough to demonstrate how passionate and dedicated the club is to making a difference in the community through chemistry.<br/>
