Quinazolines are a class of organic compounds that exhibit extensive biological activity. Their core structure plays a very important role in the synthesis of anticancer drugs and small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitors, and is thus an important target in organic synthesis and medicinal chemistry. We here report a fast and efficient microwave assisted protocol that gives access to a variety of quinazoline derivatives in a few steps, short time and high yields.
