Hypervalent iodine mediated olefin functionalization provides a rapid gateway to access both various heterocycles core structure and functional group. In this regard, we developed a Ritter type alkene functionalization using PIDA and Lewis acid combination to access isoxazoline and pyrazoline cores. Utilizing allyloxime and allylhydrazone, we developed alkene aminohydroxylation and diamination protocol to access both isoxazoline and pyrazoline core. Additionally, acetonitrile serves as both solvent and amine source under PIDA and Lewis acid combination. Inter-/intramolecular Ritter type aminohydroxylation and diamination of diverse range of terminal alkenes are described using a hypervalent iodine oxidant in the presence of Lewis acid (BF3-OEt2). This operationally straightforward and metal-free protocol provides isoxazoline and pyrazoline derivatives.
