Borazatruxenes and homologues are a new class of air and moisture stable borazine derivatives. They are truxene-like molecules in which the central benzene core has been replaced with a borazine ring. We report their synthesis, spectroscopic and structural characterisation as well as hilighting some of their applications. We report accesible ways of introducing proximal and distal chirality with respect to the borazine core and the effiecient isolation of four possible diastereomers. These molecules are precursors to larger BN-containing polycylicaromatics.
