Supplemental Instruction (SI) programs have shown to be an effective academic support program for students in difficult courses. Most successful models have been implemented in midsize to large schools. There is, however, very little information about successful SI programs in small schools or colleges.<br/>UConn-Hartford, a two-year regional campus belonging to The University of Connecticut system, serves Hartford area students who are 75% diverse (culture, religion, and socioeconomic standing), many first generation as well as other non-traditional students. While the main UConn-Storrs campus has a successful Chemistry SI program, attempts to stablish a similar program at our regional campus has proven to be challenging. We have started a Chemistry SI program for our introductory chemistry lecture, this program is currently funded through CICATS M1 Mentor Award. Here we present the challenges that we are currently facing and our plans to overcome them and provide beneficial SI sessions at our regional campus.<br/>
