With the goal of developing organometallic catalysts that will promote selective aerobic oxidations, our laboratory has been investigating the reactions of organometallic compounds with molecular oxygen. Mechanistic investigations of reactions of late transition metal-alkyl and -hydride complexes with molecular oxygen will be presented.  <br/>
