With over 110 years’ experience, no one knows more about searching chemical information than CAS. The CAS content collection covers chemistry in the broadest sense including chemical substances, reactions, and even Markush representations extracted from the full range of published literature including patents published from 63 global offices and thousands of journals. It is still intellectually indexed daily by our team of hundreds of scientists to provide a high-quality, complete resource. Since CAS introduced the first chemical structure search engine more than 30 years ago, a lot has changed. This talk will highlight current methods for searching for chemical structure elements and discuss recent advances and future plans.
