The current capabilities of wearable biosensors are limited to a subset of physiological parameters (<i>e.g.</i> heart rate, respiratory rate, etc.), Research into both passive and active collection of sweat for analysis has exploded in the last 5 years; however, the available pool of biomarkers in eccrine sweat is limited and their physiological relevance is poorly understood. Integrated, passive ISF extraction and on-body assays can provide new scientific insights into biosensors and physiology, in which analysis of physiochemistry could provide invaluable data for drug discovery and therapies. In this presentation, we will discuss the efforts towards a fully-integrated microfluidic-microsensor patch for analysis of dermal fluids. The system is composed of thin-film microfluidics sample the ISF and low-power potentiostats to quantify concentrations of target analytes via a range of conventional electrochemical techniques. <br/>
